Programme Overview
A three-day Outbound Training Programme was organized for the First-Year MBA students of the 2026–28 batch at Kalypso Adventures, Suryanalli, Munnar, from 28 to 30 September 2026. The programme focused on experiential learning through adventure, team-building, leadership, problem-solving and outdoor activities.
The programme aimed to develop managerial competencies including teamwork, leadership, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, coordination, trust, adaptability, resilience and resource management.
Major Activities
Day 1 – 28 September 2026
The programme commenced with the journey from Ahalia School of Management to Suryanalli, Munnar.
- Helium Stick Activity: Focused on teamwork, coordination, communication, patience and collective decision-making.
- Campfire: Provided an opportunity for informal interaction and strengthening interpersonal relationships.
Day 2 – 29 September 2026
The second day included a series of structured team-building activities followed by trekking.
- Warm-up Session
- Bull the Ring: Developed coordination, strategic thinking and leadership.
- Key Punch Game: Focused on planning, teamwork and execution.
- Piping Game: Developed communication, role allocation, coordination and time management.
- Phantom Hill Mountain Trekking: Strengthened endurance, resilience, confidence, teamwork, leadership and adaptability.
- Campfire and Reflection: Students shared experiences and learning from the day’s activities.
Day 3 – 30 September 2026
The final day focused on creativity, collaborative problem-solving and resource utilization.
- Jump In and Jump Out: Developed concentration, alertness and group coordination.
- Boat-Building Activity: Students worked in teams to construct boats using bamboo sticks, applying planning, creativity, leadership, resource management and problem-solving.
- Rowing with Student-Made Boats: Provided practical application of teamwork, planning and coordination.
- OBT Briefing and Reflection: Students connected their experiences with managerial concepts such as leadership, team dynamics, communication, decision-making, conflict management and resource management.
- Student Feedback: Students reflected on their experiences and learning.
The return journey included visits to Chinnakanal Falls, Gap View Point and Maravoor, with the group reaching Ahalia School of Management at approximately 12:30 a.m. on 1 October 2026.
