As part of the observance of the 11th Ayurveda Day, the Department of Panchakarma, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College Hospital, organized a Community Outreach Programme at Ahalia School of Management, Palakkad, on 25 September 2026 @ 10:30 a.m. The programme was organised under the theme “Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow.”
The session commenced with a formal introduction of the resource persons and an introductory address on the role of Ayurveda in the healthcare industry by the Principal and Director, Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai, ASM. He highlighted the relevance of traditional systems of medicine, particularly Ayurveda in promoting preventive healthcare, healthy living and overall well-being.
The programme focused on creating awareness about lifestyle disorders, their prevention and management through Ayurveda. The session aimed to familiarize the students and staff of ASM with the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle practices and to highlight the role of Ayurveda in promoting health and well-being.
The awareness session was led by two experts from the Department of Panchakarma, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College Hospital , Palakkad:

• Dr. H.V. Happy, Assistant Professor, Department of Panchakarma
The speakers addressed the participants on the significance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and discussed the relevance of preventive approaches in Ayurveda.
Dr. Anoop Kumar C.A. stressed on consumer journey towards healthcare marketing and highlighted the importance of healthy daily routines, appropriate food habits, regular physical activity, stress management and other lifestyle practices in supporting overall well-being. He explained how Ayurveda approaches health promotion and the prevention and management of lifestyle-related health concerns.
Dr. H.V. Happy elaborated on lifestyle disorders and their management. She explained the various factors contributing to lifestyle related health problems and discussed preventive measures from an Ayurvedic perspective. She introduced the participants to Panchakarma therapeutic practices, explaining their significance as traditional Ayurvedic procedures used in appropriate clinical situations. She further familiarised the participants with practices associated with Panchakarma.
The session was interactive and provided an opportunity for the students and faculty members of Ahalia School of Management to interact with professionals from the field of Ayurveda and gain awareness about traditional approaches to maintaining health. The participants gained valuable insights into the importance of preventive healthcare, healthy dietary practices, physical activity, stress management and appropriate Ayurvedic approaches to health and wellness. The session came to an end at 12.30 p.m.
