Ahalia School of Management   Palakkad conducted a career guidance programme for the final year students of Government College, Malappuram on 30 March 2022 at 10.am. Dr. Sreevidya, the Head of the Department of commerce welcomed the ASM team to their institution. Ms. Manju M, Asst. Professor of ASM delivered a talk on Career prospects and personality development for commerce and management students.She also explained about the procedures for registering the eligibility test like KMAT, CAT, and CMAT etc.  The relevance and various career opportunities of MBA were discussed. It was an interactive session and clarified all the queries of the students. Finally, the final year B. Com student Devika proposed the vote of thanks to the Resource Person and all the participants. The seminar came to an end at 11.30 am.

Ahalia School of Management   Palakkad in association with the PG Dept. of Commerce and Management Studies, PTM Government College, Perinthalmanna, organised a seminar on Career Prospects and Personality Development for BBA and M.Com students on 30 March 2022 at 2.pm. Dr. Rosana, the Head of the Department of Commerce and Management Studies welcomed the ASM team to their institution. Ms. Manju M, Asst. Professor of ASM delivered a talk on Career prospects and personality development for commerce and management students. She narrated the procedures for registering the eligibility test like KMAT, CAT, and CMAT etc.  The relevance and various career opportunities of MBA were discussed. She clarified the doubts of the students in a satisfactory manner. Mr  Byjumon, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and Management Studies of the college,   proposed the vote of thanks to the Resource Person and all the participants. The seminar ended at 04.00 pm.

World Consumer Rights Day Celebration

The Ahalia School of Management celebrated the World Consumer Rights Day on 15.3.2022. The programme commenced at 11.00 am. Ms. Megna M J and Ms. Sarangi Mohan, students of 1st Sem MBA coordinated the programme. During the session, Prof. (Dr) B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director, ASM served as resource person and delivered a talk on “Consumer Grievances and Problems”. Ms. Ann Mary Francis welcomed the resource person, the faculty members, non-teaching staff and all the students who participated in the session. The session came to an end at 12.45 pm.

Nikhil , the Vice Principal  welcomed the ASM team to their  institution. Ms. Manju M, Asst. Professor of ASM delivered a talk on importance of soft skills and how to enhance the same. She also explained about the procedures for registering in the eligibility test like KMAT, CAT, and CMAT etc.  The relevance and various career opportunities of MBA were discussed. It was an interactive session. The students were able to clear their queries. Finally, the placement officer of the Nasra College, Mr. Fayas Habeeb Muringekkal proposed the vote of thanks to the resource person and all the participants. The seminar came to an end at 04.00 pm.

ASM HR Club Competition- RANNEETI

The HR Club of ASM conducted a presentation competition on company analysis “Ranneeti” for MBA students of 2021 – 2023 batch on February 23, 2022 at 3.00 p.m. The event was inaugurated by Principal and Director  Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai . The students were divided into 6 teams and they were asked to present any relevant company in the world. The companies selected by students were Toyota,  Mi Lifestyle, Meta, L’Oreal, Tata and Apple. Everyone in the team discussed various points on their selected company. The third team won the competition and they  presented the company analysis of Meta. The team members are Ms. Abhiya Sara Biju, Mr. Kishore v, Ms. Seethalakshmi T, Mr. Sarath Shankar S and Ms. Sruthy S. The discussion came to an end by 4.15pm.

One day Interactive Workshop on “Data Analysis for Academic Project through SPSS”

The Ahalia School of Management organized a one-day interactive workshop on “Data Analysis for Academic Project through SPSS” on 21.02.2022 at 10 am to 1.00 pm through offline mode. Dr. Nikhil, Assistant Professor of Commerce & Vice Principal, Nasra College of Arts and Science,Thirurkad , Malappuram District, was the resource person  . In the workshop he narrated about how to apply SPSS package for analyzing the data and interpreting the result of the analysis in the project report. The session was quite useful to MBA students for the preparation of their project report.  All the MBA – HCM students were attended the session. The session came to an end by 1.00 p.m.

Induction Program on Universal Human Values

         The formal inauguration of the induction program on Universal Human Values for 1st Semester MBA students was done by the Principal & Director, ASM on 2nd November 2021. The first session on “MBA program and ASM- Unique Attractions” has been handled by Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai (Principal & Director, ASM). On the second day, a topic on Library Services was discussed by Mrs. Sanitha A. (Librarian, ASM). The second session on the same day on the topic Marketing of Professional Services was been taken by Mr. Rakesh P. Prabhakar (Administrator, ASM). On the third day the topics of (a) Medical Ethics & (b) Team Management were discussed by the ASM faculties, Dr. Aashna Sidhic and Mrs. Jisha O. on 8th November 2021. On fourth day, the first session on Patient Satisfaction was handled by Mrs. Akhila Babu and the second session on the topic HR Values was discussed by Dr. Sangeetha P., faculty of ASM. On the fifth day the topics of (a) Communication and (b) Financial Ethics were discussed by Dr. S. N. Jagadeesh and CA Anil K. C. respectively. On sixth day the topic on (a) Self Confidence and (b) Insight About Inside were discussed. The resource persons were Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor (Executive Director, Academics) and Dr. S. Gunasekharan (HoD CSE, ASET).

 C.A Ajith Sivadas handled a session on Emerging Trends in Accounting /Finance on the seventh day. On the same day the second session was handled by Dr. Sangeetha P. on the topic Management Games. On eighth day the first session was handled by Ms. Rinsy on the topic Counseling – Need of the Hour. The topic of Soft Skills for Professional Excellence has been discussed by Prof. Dr. B Vijayachandran Pillai (Principal & Director, ASM) in the second session. On ninth day the topics of (a) Need of English in Management & (b) Stress Management were discussed by Ms. Jini, (faculty of ASCM) and Dr. Sumina, Medical Officer, AAMCH. The last day sessions were handled by E. P. B. Rajithan (Manager Statutory Affaires, AHHKV) and Dr. Vijayakumar Varma (Director, Ahalia Heritage Village) on the topics of Service Management and Hospital Services. In the afternoon a feedback session was also arranged to collect the response of the students about the programme.       

Inaugural Ceremony of MBA 2021-23 Batch

The formal inauguration function of first semester MBA 2021-23 batch was organized at Ahalia Diabetics Hospital auditorium at 10.30 a.m. on 1.11.2021. The chief guest of the ceremony was Mr. G. Krishna Kumar (M.D., Rufbila International Ltd. and Premier Tissues India Ltd., Palakkad). In his inaugural address he stressed the need for acquiring soft skills by the students to perform the duties of the manager in future. He also specified the reasons for successful running a business unit. His presentation was very motivating to the budding managers for taking up new ventures in their future career. Dr. S. N. Jagadeesh welcomed the chief guest and others who participated in the inaugural function. The presidential address was was delivered by Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director, ASM. Mrs. Jisha O. & Mr. Rakesh P. Prabhakar offered felicitation to the programme. Dr. P. Sangeetha proposed vote of thanks to all those who participated in this ceremony. The entire programme came to an end with National Anthem by 12.45 p.m.

Dr. Divya M., Assistant Professor, PG & Research Department of Commerce, MES Keveeyam College, Valanchery , Malappuram District was the resource person. In the workshop she gave a very good session on how to apply SPSS package for analysing the data and interpreting the result of the analysis in the project report. The session was quite useful to MBA students for the preparation of their project report. All the students of final semester MBA (General & HCM) are attended the session. The session came to an end by 1.30 p.m.
