One Day Interactive Workshop on Data Analysis for Academic Projects through SPSS

An one day interactive workshop on Data Analysis for Academic Projects through SPSS on Wednesday, 4 January 2023 @ 10 am. Prof. B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal and Director ASM, introduced and welcomed the Resource person to the session and inaugurated the session. In his inaugural address, he stressed the need for and importance of methodology in doing research projects. Also explained the relevance of statistical packages like SPSS, AMOS for analysing the data for research purpose.  Dr M. Nikhil, Assistant Professor and Vice Principal, Nasra college of Arts and Science, Tirurkkad, Malappuram has served as Resource person. Initially he narrated the importance of SPSS in Data analysis for academic projects. Thereafter, a practical session on the application of SPSS for data analysis has been taken in an interactive style. Ms. Seena Antony proposed the vote of thanks to the Resource Person and the faculties. The session came to an end by 3.30 pm. All the I Sem and III Sem MBA- HCM students attended the session.

Session on ‘Soft Skills for Professionalism’

Ahalia School of Management in association with Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Government College Chittur , Palakkad organised a special session on Soft Skill for Professionalism on 21 December 2022, Tuesday at 10.30 am. The program was inaugurated by College Principal Dr. V. K. Anuradha and presided by Dr. Lekshman, Head of the Department. The faculty members of the department facilitated the program. The first session was handled by Ms. Manju M(ASM faculty). She discussed about Soft Skill for Professional Excellence. The second session was handled by Ms. Ann Mary Francis where an Aptis test competition was conducted. The whole students were divided into 16 groups of 5 each. Round 1 was a quiz of 25 questions based on a 5 minute video. Round 2 was for 6 teams which focus on both reading and communication. Round 3 was for 3 teams which focuses on Speaking. The students actively participated and the prizes are given to the best teams.The Head of the Department Dr. Lekshman distributed the prizes. The students gave their valuable feedback and concluded the program with a Vote of Thanks @1.00 pm.

Human Rights Day 2022

The Human Rights Day was celebrated by ASM on 17 December 2022 T 11 am. Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal and Director ASM explained the need for celebrating the Human Rights Day and introduced and welcomed the resource person and other participants. Adv. Mrs. T. Reena Jaijith was the resource person of the session. She discussed the different constitutional rights of all Indian Citizens. She also narrated the duties and responsibilites to which every individual has to adhere. The session was an interactive one. Ms. Seethalekshmi proposed the vote of thanks. The session came to an end at 12.45 p.m.

2022 National Energy Conservation Day

The National Energy Conservation Day was celebrated by the ASM on 14 December at 11 a.m. The session was inaugurated by the Principal and Director ASM, Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai. In his inaugural address, he has given a brief of the need for energy conservation. Thereafter, the resource person Dr. K. Manivannan has delivered a talk on Energy Conservation. In his speech, he explained the importance of energy conservation. He also suggested certain methods for proper usage of different types of common energy. Ms. Roshini P. Varrier proposed the vote of thanks. The session came to an end at 12.45 p.m.

2022 International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

Ahalia Group Academic Institutions organised a panel discussion on the urgency of dealing with violence against women and girls. Dr. Latha Nair, Project Director, Industrial Operations Research Group and Ms. Archana Subash, HR Head, Trinity Skillworks were the panelists. Dr. Latha Nair suggested that celebrating womanhood and keeping dignity is primary and every woman should feel proud of herself. Ms. Archana Subash said the notion that women are the weaker sex is still lingering on to our minds despite the advancements in the society. Rather than comparing with men, let’s concentrate on celebrating the accomplishments of women.Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai, Director, Ahalia Group Academic Institutions presided over the event. Prof. Kripa K. M., Convener, Women Grievance & Empowerment Cell, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology welcomed the gathering. Ms. Abhishta S., S3 CSE, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology and Ms.  Almas Fathima, S3, BBA, Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics, introduced the guests to the audience. Ms. Chaithra, S3 CSE, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology compered the program. Ms. Bindu Valoor, Manager-Academics Outreach, Ahalia Group proposed the vote of thanks. The students and staff of Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics and Ahalia School of Management attended the event.

International Students Day 2022

ASM celebrated the International Students Day on 17.11.2022. The programme was inaugurated by Prof (Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director at 11:30 am. Ms. Neetu P. M., Assistant Professor served as the resource person in the session. She has delivered a talk on ‘Role of Students in Society’. Thereafter, a debate was conducted on the topic ‘Is the use of mobile phone a boon or bane to the student community?’ Both the senior and junior batch MBA students actively participated in the discussion. The programme came to an end at 1 pm.

World Diabetes Day 2022

The World Dibetes Day was celebrated on 14 November 2022 at 11.30 am.  The programme was formally inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai (Principal and Director, ASM). In his inaugural address he stressed the need for educating the diabetic patients and celebrating the day.  The resource person, Dr. Aashna Sidhic, narrated the details regarding the diabetes disease namely, the reasons for diabetes, symptoms of diabetes, consequences of the disease, preventive measures to be taken etc. All the faculty members and the senior and junior batch MBA students attended the programme. Ms. Anupama and Seethalakshmi presented a brief feedback on the session. The session came to an end at 12.30 pm.

National Educational Day 2022

ASM celebrated National Education Day on 11/11/2022. The Principal and Director, ASM Prof., Dr, B. Vijayachandran Pillai inaugurated the session at 11.00 am. In his inaugural address, he mentioned about the objective of celebrating the National Education Day and importance of professionalism in the higher education sector.  Mrs. M. Manju has served as the resource person in the session and delivered a talk on the topic “Role of Professional Education” and narrated the role of professional teachers and students in society. She also stressed the need for enhancing professional qualities among teachers. A debate on the topic of “Education is the most powerful weapon which can change the world” was also arranged between two groups of students favoring and against the topic.  The function came to an end at 12.45 p.m.

World Tourism Day 2022

The World Tourism Day was celebrated on 27/09/2022. The programme commenced with a prayer at 10.30 am. Ms. Sreelekshmi welcomed the president of the session, resource person, faculty members and students. The Principal and Director, Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai introduced the concept of health tourism and stressed the need and importance of wellness tourism in India and inaugurated the session. Thereafter, the resource person, Dr. K. Manivannan, Associate Professor, ASM delivered a talk on the topic Health and Wellness Tourism. During the presentation, he narrated the historical background of tourism industry in the world, India and Kerala and discussed the different aspects of health and wellness tourism. Ms. Anjana and Ms. Rekha presented the feedback of the session. Ms. Devika Uday proposed the vote of thanks to all the participants. The session was over by 12.10 pm.

Patient Safety Day Celebrations 2022

ASM celebrated the World Patient Safety Day on 19.09.2022. The programme commenced at 10.30 am with a prayer. Ms. Sreelakshmi welcomed the President of the session, resource rerson  and other participants. Dr. B. Vijaychandran Pillai (Principal & Director of ASM) inaugurated the session. Thereafter, the resource rerson Dr. Aashna Sidhic delivered a talk on the topic “Patient Safety”. Dr. K. Manivannan stressed the need of understanding the concept of patient psychology during the session. Ms. Seethalakshmi and Mr. Naseef presented the feedback of the session. Finally Ms. Sreelakshmi proposed the Vote of thanks and the session came to an end at 11.30 am.
