Onam Celebration 2023

The ASM & ASCM jointly organised the Onam celebrations on 24.08.2023. The celebration commenced with Pookkalam. The formal inauguration of Onam celebration 2023 was done by Prof (Dr) B Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director ASM. In his presidential address, he narrated the idea behind the celebration of onam and his memories about onam during his childhood. Dr. S N Jagadeesh, Principal ASCM in his felicitation speach, shared his memories about the onam celebration in the past and the relevance of celebrating the festival. Mrs. Manju offered felicitations to the programme. The inauguration programme was ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. Anaswara. Thereafter different competitions like uriyadi, vadamvali, spoon & lemon thriruvathirakali etc. & Shinkarimelam were arranged by the staff and students. In addition to these, Onam sadya was arranged for the staff & students of ASM & ASCM. The program came to an end at 3.30 pm.

Tourism Club Inauguration

As a part of world environment day, we from ASM visited Athirapally waterfalls with 38 students and two faculties for two initiatives such as to clean the environment for plastic wastes and to inaugurate ASM tourism club.  We started from the Ahalia campus at 6.30 am on 3rd June and reached the destination at 12 pm. The students were separated into three teams with the assistance of forest officers provided by Kerala tourism centre. The students started their cleaning process in the parking areas and in the nearby forest areas. The process continued for one hour with the assistance of forest officers. After the cleaning, the ASM tourism club inauguration was done in the presences of Mr. Praveen Nair who is an IFS officer in charge of the Athirapalli forest range. He gave a speech about importance of tourism and in Kerala and about the importance of maintaining the environment in front of the Athirapally main gate. After providing lunch for the students at 3.30, we started back to the campus and reached Ahalia campus by 7.45pm

2023 World Environment Day Celebrations

Ahalia School of Management celebrated World Environment Day on 05/06/2023 at ASM campus. The activities started at 9.30 a.m. Assistant Professor Ms. Manju M and Associate Professor Dr. K. Manivannan coordinated the activities. Students and staff cleaned the college campus and planted saplings of different trees. Ms. Manju M delivered a speech on the need for protecting the environment and environment sustainability. Besides, a quiz competition was conducted in the ASM seminar hall. The entire students were divided into six teams and there were four rounds with a total of 120 questions. Students actively participated in the quiz. The winners of the competition were Ms. Anjana, Mr. Sreekuttan, Mr. Sabin, Mr. Vimal Raj, Ms. Shahala Nazrin and Ms Anjali A. The programme came to an end at 3.30 p.m. Earlier on 3 June 2023, as the Environment Day celebrations, the students and staff of ASM participated in the clean-up drive at Athrirapilly Waterfalls.

HARITHABHAM 2023

    The Ahalia Group of Institutions organized a programme of planting the tress by name HARITHABHAM at Sculpture Park in the Ahalia Campus on 4th May 10:30 am. The chairman, Ahalia group of institutions Dr. V S Gopal presided over the function  and Mrs. Sreya Gopal, Manging Trustee of Ahalia group of institutions also attended the function. The chief guest of the day was Dr. Sibin DFO (Social Forestry). Ahalia Health, Heritage and Knowledge village Director Dr R V Varma, Mr Haridas, Green Ahalia Consultant also spoke in the function. The staff members and students from the ASM has participated in the function and planted certain saplings of eco friendly tress.

2023 International Women’s Day

The Ahalia Group of Institutions in association with Mathrubhumi Grihalakshmi Vanitha Vedi celebrated Women’s Day on 8 th March 2023. The venue was at Ahalia women and children’s (AWACH) auditorium. The function started at 1.30 p.m. The inaugural ceremony was performed by Ms. Sriya Gopal, Managing trustee, Aahalia group of institutions. In the programme, Dr. Sheba Sunil ( Principal, Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College)  delivered the keynote address. Mrs. AJM Christeena (Vice Principal of Ahalia School of Pharmacy), Mrs. Shamsad Beegam (District secretary, Mathrubhumi Grihalakshmi) offered felicitations. Ahalia Women Icon Award 2K23 was given to dignitaries in respective fields. The function of launching the logo ‘STHRAINAM’ was done by Ms. Dhanya Ravi and followed by a motivational speech. All the lady faculty and non-faculty members and students of Ahalia School of Management participated in the programme. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Preyeamvadha (Consultant Paediatrician, AWATCH). The programme came to an end at 4.30 p.m followed by a musical chain by the team “Ragavalli”.

Ahalia Management Fest – ‘ VEZETO’ 2K23

ASM and ASCM jointly organised a management fest (VEZETO 2023) on 2nd February 2023 in the ASM campus. The formal inauguration of the fest was done by Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor, Executive Director, Ahalia Group. The meeting was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) B Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director, ASM. Ms. Ahla Ibrahim Rawther welcomed all the participants to the meeting and Dr. S N Jagadeesh (Principal, ASCM) offered felicitations. Ms. Manju M (Asst. Professor, ASM) proposed vote of thanks.

    Students from various UG and PG colleges/B-Schools in Kerala & Tamil Nadu participated in the event. In the meet, 10 events namely Best Manager, Business Quiz, Marketing Games, Treasure Hunt, Innovative Idea, Rangoli, Mehndi, Face Painting, Group Dance and Fashion Show were conducted.     The valedictory function was organised at 6 PM. The chief guest Mr. K Harikumar, Managing Director, Malabar Cements Ltd., Palakkad in his valedictory address stressed the need for enhancing different skills among management students for improving the employability. He distributed the cash award and certificates to the prize winners of different events.  Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor offered felicitation to the function. The staff coordinator of the VEZETO 2023, Dr.K.Manivannan proposed Vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and participants. The meeting came to an end by 7 PM.

Ahalia Grihalakshmi Vedi Unit Inauguration

        In the formal inauguration function of Mathrubhumi-grihalakshmi vedi Ahalia Unit in association with Ahalia events and Ahalia Grihalakshmi Vedi, held at AWACH auditorium on 12/01/2023 at 12:00 pm, the Vanitha-vedi members from ASM, Ms Manju M (Asst.Professor) & Dr.Aashna Sidhic (Asst.Professor) are attended. In the session Ms Manju M welcomed the dignitaries and participants on the dias and off the dias. All the first and third semester MBA (Both General & HCM) students were participated in the program. Cine Actress Mrs.Bhavana inaugurated the function. Faculty members of the Vanithavedi from different Ahalia Institutions offered felicitations. The function came to an end at 1:00 pm.

Christmas and New Year Celebrations at ASM

The Christmas and New Year celebrations of the ASM have been conducted on on Friday, 6th January 2023. The Programme started @10 a.m. with a Prayer followed by welcome address by Mr. Arjun Satheesh, II Sem.. MBA Student. The programme was formally inaugurated by by Prof. B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal and Director ASM. In his presidential and inaugural address, he explained the message of Christmas and stressed the need for following the principles of Christianity by the people for their success in every walk of life. After cutting the Christmas cake, the students presented different types of entertainment programmes. Ms.Abiya Sara Biju proposed vote of thanks to all the participants. The celebrations came to an end at 1.00 p.m.

Ahalia Arts Fest 2022

Ahalia School of Management and Ahalia School of Commerce and Mathematics actively participated in Ahalia Arts Fest 2K22. It was the days of celebration for both art and artists from November 28, 2022 to December 5, 2022.  The off- stage and on-stage competitions along with the performance of renowned musicians was the best part of the Arts day. Students from both MBA and BBA actively participated in various events. They showcased their talents by participating in various competitions like Mehndi, Malayalam and English Essay Writing, English Poetry Writing, English and Malayalam Short Story Writing, Flash Mob, Group song and Solo song. Second year MBA students Farzana Noushad won the first runner up for English poetry writing and Riswana Mariyam K. N. won the first runner up for Solo song competition.  The arts day celebration highlighted our student’s capabilities and gave them a chance to showcase their talents.
