ASM observed World No Tobacco Day on 31st May 2023 at 4.00 pm. The programme commenced with a prayer by Ms. Risvana Mariyam. Mr. Vimal Raj welcomed all the participants to the session. Thereafter, Prof. (Dr.) B Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director of ASM, delivered the presidential cum inaugural address. In his speech, he stressed the need for observing the World No Tobacco Day among college students. The resource person of the session, Ms. Neetu P M discussed the drawbacks of using tobacco and the role of government in controlling the use of tobacco among youth. Further, discussions were held on the following topics by students.

A competition was arranged among students in preparing the best poster relating to the concerned area. Thereafter, a feedback on the programme was presented by Ms. Anjana and Ms. Sruthi C K. Finally Ms. Chaithanya proposed Vote of Thanks to all the participants. The session came to an end at 6 pm.
