79th Independence Day

The 79th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism, jointly by ASM and ASCM, at the campus on 15th  August 2025 at 8:30 a.m. The Principal, staff, and students gathered for the celebration. Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai (Principal and Director, ASM) and Dr. Jagadeesh S. N. (Principal, ASCM) hoisted the National Flag amidst the singing of the National Anthem, filling the air with pride and joy. Following the flag hoisting, the Principal of ASM addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech, highlighting the significance of freedom, the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, and the importance of citizens contributing to the nation’s progress through small but meaningful acts. Thereafter, Dr. Jagadeesh delivered his speech, emphasizing the role of freedom fighters in attaining independence and the achievements of our country since then. As part of the Independence Day celebrations, ASM has arranged a role-play presentation by students on the theme “Small Acts – Big Love for the Nation. “The performance depicted how everyday actions such as Brain-drain, Supporting Local Business, conserving water, keeping the environment clean, helping the needy, following traffic rules and respecting elders can contribute to building a stronger and better India. Role play Competition was Con-ducted with three teams and the team No.1 bagged the first prize consisting of 6 members (Amen Abdul Kareem, Chinnu K Jose, Athulya, Vismaya P, Amritha Suresh & Meenu Kutty. V). The program concluded with the distribution of sweets to all participants. The Independence Day celebration not only honored the glorious past of our nation but also inspired everyone present to perform their duties as responsible citizens for the motherland.
