A three-day internship programme was organized at Ahalia Hospital AHCL (ADH/AAMCH/AWACH) from 13th to 15th June 2024 as part of the institution’s academic-industry collaboration. The programme was designed to provide students with practical insights into the functioning, administration and service delivery of a multispecialty hospital.

A total of 11 students participated in the programme and received exposure to various aspects of hospital management, including patient registration and admission procedures, OPD and IPD operations, patient flow and appointment management, billing and insurance, medical records, pharmacy services, diagnostic services, housekeeping and support services, quality and patient safety practices, and coordination among different hospital departments. Students also observed how healthcare professionals and administrative teams work together to ensure efficient service delivery and patient satisfaction. The internship enabled students to understand real-world hospital operations, administrative procedures, service quality practices and healthcare management challenges, thereby strengthening their practical knowledge and professional skills
