An internship programme was organized at Ahalia Hospital AHCL, Palakkad, on 15 October 2024, with 25 students participating. The programme aimed to familiarize students with the practical aspects of hospital administration and healthcare operations.

Students received exposure to patient registration and admission, OPD and IPD functioning, patient flow, billing and insurance, medical records, pharmacy and diagnostic services, housekeeping and other hospital support functions. The programme also provided insights into the coordination required between various departments for effective patient service.

Through this internship, students gained practical knowledge of hospital administration, service quality, patient care processes and operational management. The experience helped strengthen the connection between classroom learning and professional healthcare practices.
