Ahalia Campus Visit- Mercy College, Palakkad

On 30.01.2026, ASM has arranged an industrial cum campus visit for the I B.Com students of Mercy College, Palakkad, at the Ahalia Campus. The programme aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world exposure, and for motivating students to align their higher studies with their individual strengths and career goals. The programme began with an interactive session at 10.15 am titled “From Marks to Meaning – Aligning Higher Studies with Your Strengths”, delivered by Dr. Padmaavathy PA., Associate Professor ASM. The session emphasized the importance of self-awareness in career planning, moving beyond marks to skill-based and interest-driven career choices and the role of attitude, skill and knowledge (ASK) model. Students actively participated and clarified doubts related to careers, higher education and skill development. After a tea break, around 11.30 am, students were introduced to the functioning of Ahalia Medicine Manufacturing Unit (AMMU). They gained insights into basic manufacturing processes, quality control and compliance and Industry–management linkages.

The students visited the heritage area of the campus and experienced a drive-through tour, helping them understand the institutional culture and infrastructure. The visit highlighted the use of renewable and alternate energy sources, creating awareness about sustainability and eco-friendly practices.  The programme concluded with an engaging interaction session with Ahalia 90.4 FM at Ahalia School of Management, where students learned about media, communication and management-related career avenues.
