The ASM has organised an industrial visit to IIT Palakkad, Kanjikode on 09.04.2025 in which the faculty members and 33 students participated. The team started their journey from ASM at 9.30 a.m and reached the IIT campus at 10.00 a.m. Dr. Selvapandi (Academic Advisor, IIT Palakkad) co-ordinated the industrial visit.  Initially, he has given an overview of IIT Palakkad, relevance of MBA students to IIT – Incubation centre visit and introduced Dr.Jacob Chandapillai, Head – Innovation Centre. Dr.Jacob delivered a talk on innova-tion and entrepreneurial eco-system including the practical aspects of the area. He stressed on the  importance of innovations in today’s world, role of HEI’s in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, policy adoption of HEIs, start-ups, IIC, YUKTI portal etc., Thereafter, Mr.Midhu Unnithan (COO- Tech IN) addressed the students and talked about the role of business incubator in nurturing start-ups, services and support offered by Tech IN. He emphasised the importance of incubators, accelerators and business model canvas by quoting success stories of start-ups. After the formal interac-tive session with students and faculties, Dr.Selvapandi guided the team to Technology I Hub Foundation Centre (Incubation Centre) where we experienced the live designing of prototypes, testing and commercialisation of busi-ness models. Also visited the latest development in IIT- SMART Farm where all agricultural activities are carried out by smart technology applications. The industrial visit gave valuable insights to students in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation. The industrial visit came to end by 1.30 p.m and the team reached ASM by 2.00 p.m.
