The Kerala Government’s Women and Child Development Department, in collaboration with Ahalia Group institutions and Ahalia Women & Children’s Hospital, organized a workshop focused on addressing violence against women. The event was inaugurated by Devika Lal, District Legal Services Authority Secretary and Civil Judge. Advocate P. Premnath educated students on the legal provisions for combating violence against women, detailing the legal procedures and explaining what constitutes legally recognized acts of violence. Dr. Suresh Babu K.G., Medical Director of Ahalia, conveyed his best wishes for the initiative. Bindu Valoor spoke about identifying red flags in relationships that require attention. The workshop, held at the Ahalia Women & Children’s Hospital auditorium, Nearly 600 students and faculty members attended. Teachers and students from Ahalia Group educational institutions presented skits and songs highlighting the theme. Leo Bernard, District Mission Coordinator of the Women and Child Development Department, delivered the welcome address, while gratitude was expressed by Jyothis Rachel Mathew, faculty of Ahalia School of Management (ASM).
