International Women’s Day Celebration in Association with AhaliaFM 90.4

The International Women’s Day Celebration was organized by the Ahalia School of Management in association with Ahalia FM 90.4 on 9 March 2026 at the ASM Hall. The programme commenced at 3:00 PM with enthusiastic participation from students.

The event began with an introductory address by the Principal & Director, Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai, who spoke about the importance of International Women’s Day and highlighted the need to create awareness about women’s empowerment, equality and the valuable contributions of women in society.

Following the introduction, the microphone was handed over to RJ Sunil and RJ Ayilya from Ahalia FM 90.4, who led the interactive session. Their energetic and engaging style made the programme vibrant and lively, immediately capturing the attention of the students.

To encourage participation, the students were divided into five groups. In the first activity, one representative from each group was invited to come forward and speak about a woman who had inspired or influenced their life. The students responded positively, sharing heartfelt stories and expressing admiration for women who had shaped their values and aspirations.

The next activity was designed to inculcate teamwork and unity among the participants. Each group was asked to come forward and create a story collectively, beginning with a short opening sentence provided by the RJs. This creative exercise turned out to be highly engaging and entertaining with students enthusiastically contributing imaginative ideas and enjoying the collaborative storytelling process.

Towards the end of the programme, the RJs introduced an open mic session by placing the microphone on the table and inviting students to voluntarily come forward and share their thoughts or voices. Ms. Chinnu- MBA 1st year stepped forward and shared her perspectives, which was appreciated by the audience. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Vysakh, MBA 1st year student expressing gratitude to the Principal, the RJs from Ahalia FM and all the students for their active participation. The celebration came to an end at 4:15 pm.
