An internship programme was organized at Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital, Palakkad, on 13 February 2025, with 7 students participating. The programme offered students an opportunity to gain practical exposure to the functioning of a specialized eye-care institution.

The students observed key areas including patient registration and reception, appointment management, OPD procedures, patient movement and flow, billing, medical records, pharmacy services and diagnostic facilities. They were also introduced to the coordination between clinical and administrative functions. The internship enabled students to understand patient service processes, hospital administration, service quality and operational efficiency in a specialized healthcare environment.
