An internship programme was organized at Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital, Palakkad, on 24 May 2025, with 3 students participating. The programme offered students practical exposure to the functioning and management of a specialized eye hospital.

The students gained insights into patient registration, appointment scheduling, OPD operations, patient flow management, billing and insurance procedures, medical records, pharmacy and diagnostic services. They also observed the coordination between clinical and administrative departments in providing effective patient services. The programme enhanced students’ understanding of hospital operations, patient-centred care, service quality and healthcare administration, enabling them to connect theoretical concepts with practical workplace experiences.
