An internship programme was organized at Ahalia Hospital AHCL, Palakkad, on 8 October 2024, with the participation of 25 students. The programme provided students with an opportunity to gain practical exposure to hospital administration and healthcare service operations.

The students observed various functions including patient registration and admission, OPD/IPD operations, patient flow management, billing and insurance, medical records, pharmacy and diagnostic services, housekeeping and support services. They also gained insights into the coordination of different departments in ensuring smooth and efficient patient care. The internship strengthened students’ practical understanding of hospital management, healthcare delivery, patient-centred services, quality management and operational efficiency, complementing their academic learning
