An internship programme was organized at Ahalia Hospital AHCL, Palakkad, on 17 September 2025 as part of the institution’s ongoing academic-industry collaboration. A total of 20 students participated in the programme.

The internship provided students with practical exposure to the functioning of a multispecialty healthcare institution. Students were introduced to hospital administration, patient registration and admission procedures, OPD and IPD operations, patient flow management, billing and insurance procedures, medical records management, pharmacy and diagnostic services, housekeeping and support services. The programme also enabled students to understand the coordination between clinical and administrative departments. Through direct observation and interaction with hospital personnel, students gained insights into healthcare service delivery, patient-centred care, quality practices and hospital workflow. The programme helped students connect their academic knowledge with real-world healthcare management practices and develop a better understanding of professional responsibilities in the hospital sector.
