An internship programme was conducted at Ahalia Hospital AHCL, Palakkad, on 24 May 2025, with the participation of 25 students. The programme aimed to provide students with practical exposure to various aspects of hospital administration and healthcare service management.

During the internship, students were familiarized with patient registration and admission, OPD/IPD operations, patient flow management, billing and insurance, medical records, pharmacy and diagnostic services, housekeeping and other support functions. They also observed the coordination between different departments involved in patient care and service delivery.

The programme helped students gain practical insights into hospital workflow, administrative procedures, patient-centred services, quality management and professional practices. It strengthened their understanding of how theoretical concepts in healthcare and hospital management are applied in a real organizational setting.
