NATIONAL CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS DAY

The ASM under auspices of Institutions Innovation Council has observed National Chartered Accountants Day on 1st July 2024 at 2.30 pm. The programme started with a prayer. Ms Jewel Rose welcomed all the participants followed by the presidential address by the Principal & Director (Prof. (Dr.) B Vijayachandran Pillai). In his presidential address he has stated the reason for observing Chartered Accountants Day in Management Institutes. He has also given a brief of the role of chartered accountans in the current business scenario with reference to Finance, Accounting and Auditing. 

   CA Ajith Sivadas [B. Com, ACMA, ACA, Adv. Dip MA CIMA, (UK)], Practising Chartered Accountant  was the Resource person of the session. In his talk, he has spoken about the fundamentals of Accounting and auditing and explained the three stages of CA Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Also explained the role of Chartered Accountants in the areas of Financial Statement preparation and analysis, Tax planning, Consultancy and advisory, Corporate Governance, Risk Managent, Corporate Finance, Ethical standards and Governance, Cost management, Training and Development etc. The session was an interactive one. Thereafter, Mr. Rohit has given the feedback of the session.  The session came to an end with a vote of thanks by Ms. Navya Mahesh at 4.15 pm.
