With the support of the Ahalia School of Management (ASM) Health Care Club, ASM celebrated National Motherhood Day on 23rd April 2025 @ 11:30 a.m. at the ASM Seminar Hall. Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director, inaugurated the session by highlighting the importance of celebrating National Motherhood Day. He stressed the need for providing awareness especially for girls about maternal health and its impact on society. Dr. T. Sukruthi, MBBS, MS (OBG), Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Ahalia Women and Children’s Hospital, served as the resource person for the day. She delivered an enlightening talk on Safe Motherhood, emphasizing key aspects such as preconception care, healthy dietary practices during pregnancy, awareness and management of PCOD and the significance of postpartum care for both the mother and new born baby. The feedback of the session was delivered by Ms.Manasa and Ms.Almas Fathima. The session was highly informative and interactive, with active participation from students and faculty members. Finally, Ms Vishmaya K R proposed vote of thanks to resource person and all the participants. The session came to an end at 1:00 pm.
