The ASM & ASCM jointly organised the Onam celebrations on 12.09.2024. The celebration commenced with arranging of Pookkalam and lighting of lamp @9:30a.m. The formal inauguration of Onam celebration 2024-(Thaithaka Melam) began with foraml welcome address by Ms Pooja. Prof (Dr) B Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director ASM presided over the function and inauguated the onam celebrations. In his presidential address, he narrated the idea behind the celebration of onam and his memories about onam during his childhood days.
The key note address was delivered by Dr P.R Suresh, Principal, Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology. Thereafter, felicitations were offered by Dr. S N Jagadeesh, Principal ASCM in his felicitation speech, shared his memories about the onam celebration in the past and the relevance of celebrating the festival.Ms.jyothis Rachel Mathews (ASM) Assistant Professor also offered felicitations to the programme. The inauguration programme was ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. Sreenaya M. Thereafter, different competitions like Uriyadi, Vadamvali, Lemon& Spoon,Thriruvathirakali, Shinkarimelam etc. Have been organised. In addition to these, Onam sadya was arranged for the staff & students of ASM & ASCM. The programme came to an end at 3.30 pm.
