Outbound Activity Programme -Nature Bound Sahyadri

An outbound activity programme was organized for II Sem MBA students at Nature Bound Sahyadri, Ankola, Karnataka from 2nd March 2026 to 4th March 2026. The programme aimed at developing leadership qualities, teamwork, communication skills, problem-solving ability and overall personality development among the students, which are essential competencies for management professionals.

Day 1: Orientation and Team Building Activities

The programme commenced with an introduction session where the facilitators briefed the participants about the objectives, expectations and programme guidelines followed by a programme demand discussion and front-loading session, where students were oriented on how each activity would relate to management learning. To create a comfortable and interactive environment, ice-breaker activities were conducted. These activities helped participants to know each other better and encouraged active participation. The day mainly focused on team building and team bonding activities, where students were grouped into teams and engaged in various team games that emphasized cooperation, trust and communication. An indoor session titled “Why MBA?” was also conducted, where facilitators discussed the importance of management education, leadership mind-set and professional development. The day concluded with a team task called “Key Punch”, which required coordination, planning and strategic thinking among team members.

Day 2: Adventure and Outdoor Challenges

The second day began with a warm-up session to energize the participants for the physically engaging activities planned for the day. Students participated in several outdoor adventure and challenge activities, including:

•           Giant Net Climbing

•           Whale Watch

•           Chicken Walk

•           Navigation Activity

•           Commando Tower

•           Multivine

•           U-Loop

•           Nature Scavenger Hunt

These activities were designed to develop confidence, risk-taking ability, leadership and teamwork. Students were encouraged to support and motivate each other while overcoming physical and mental challenges.

Day 3: Nature-Based Learning and Debriefing The final day began with morning warm-up exercises followed by a nature trail, where students explored the natural surroundings and developed awareness about the environment. A field cooking activity was organized where students prepared food collectively, promoting collaboration, planning and resource management. Another engaging activity, Traffic Jam, required logical thinking and group coordination to solve a challenging task. The programme concluded with a final debriefing session, where facilitators connected the experiences from various activities with management concepts such as leadership, teamwork, communication and decision-making. Participants then shared their feedback about the programme, highlighting their learning experiences and personal growth during the three-day event. Finally, the assets and equipment were returned and the participants departed from the venue.
