On 14th March 2025, ASM and ASCM have jointly arranged an interactive session on Smart Investing: A Guide to Blue-Chip Stocks and Mutual Funds. The session started at 11.00am. The resource person was Mr.Venugopal Rayirath, SEBI Certified trainer. Prof.B.Vijayachandran Pillai (Principal and Director, ASM) inroduced and welcomed the resource person and other participants. In his presidential address, he stressed the need for imparting awareness on investment avenues among the students and faculties. Also, gave an insight on different types of Blue-Chip Stocks and Mutual Funds and its tax benefits. Dr..S.N.Jagadeesh, (Principal, ASCM) has offered felicitations to the function and spoke about the need for arranging sessions on Investment Avenues for the benefit of students. The resource person, Mr.Venugopal Rayirath, focussed on the investment in blue-chip stocks and mutual funds. He stated that stocks and mutual funds are excellent choices for investors looking for stability and long-term growth. He also mentioned that by understanding their benefits and implementing a strategic approach, investors can create a resilient investment portfolio that withstands market fluctuations and secures financial prosperity. Students and faculties raised certain questions related to investment schemes and clarified their doubts. Finally, Ms. Manasa (II Sem. MBA Student) proposed the vote of thanks to the resource person and all the participants. The session came to end at 1.00.p.m.
