Swachhata Pakhwada – Cleanliness & Tree Plantation Drive

As part of the nationwide Swachhata Pakhwada initiative launched by the Government of India, MBA students of Ahalia School of Management enthusiastically participated in a Cleanliness & Tree Plantation Drive within the campus. The event was aimed at promoting awareness about cleanliness, environmental responsibility and sustainability among students and staff. The program started at 9 am.

Activities Conducted

(a) Awareness Campaign:

A short speech session on Swachhata Pakhwada initiative was delivered by Prof. Dr. B.Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal and Director, stressing the need for celebrating this programme.

(b) Cleanliness Drive:

The students under the guidance of Mr.Ajith Sankar.R..N, Assistant Professor carried out a cleanliness drive in and around the college premises. Areas such as gardens and surroundings were cleaned. Students collected plastic waste, paper and other litter and disposed of it properly.

(c) Tree Plantation:

Following the cleanliness activity, students planted saplings across different areas of the college campus. The initiative focused on planting native and eco-friendly species, promoting greenery and improving the air quality in the area. The activity ended by 1.30 pm.
