World Earth Day Celebrations -2026

Ahalia School of Management, Palakkad, celebrated World Earth Day on 12 May 2026 at 9.30 a.m. with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members. The programme was organized to create awareness about environmental conservation and to encourage sustainable practices among the academic community.

The celebration began with the gathering of all students and faculty members at the college portico. Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal and Director, ASM, addressed the gathering and explained the need for celebrating World Earth Day. He emphasized the importance of protecting the Earth, conserving natural resources, reducing environmental pollution and adopting eco-friendly practices in daily life. His speech motivated the participants to contribute actively towards preserving nature for future generations.

As part of the celebration, students and faculty members participated in certain environmental protection activities conducted within the campus under the leadership of Nature Club Coordinator of the college Mr. R.N. Ajith Sankar. The activities included:

•           Planting of cashew seeds

•           Campus cleaning

•           Removal of plastic waste

•           Protection and maintenance of tree saplings planted during Swachh Bharath 2025. The programme encouraged teamwork and strengthened environmental aware-ness among the participants. The World Earth Day celebrations concluded at 11.00 a.m. with enthusiastic participation from all attendees. The programme successfully conveyed the message of environmental responsibility and reflected the commitment of Ahalia School of Management towards promoting a clean, green and sustainable environment.
