World First Aid Day 2025

The World First Aid Day celebration was observed at ASM Seminar hall on 16-09-2025 at 2.00 pm. To mark the occasion, a special workshop on the theme First Aid Workshop for Business Leaders was organised. The session aimed to highlight the importance of first aid knowledge as a vital life skill, especially for future managers and leaders who may be responsible for ensuring workplace safety and well-being. The resource person was welcomed by Principal  & Director, Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai reiterating the college’s commitment to create socially responsible business leaders equipped with essential life-saving skills.

             The speaker of the event was Mr. Benny K. Andrews, Station Officer (G), Fire and Rescue Station, Kanjikode. In his insightful address, he emphasized the significance of timely first aid in saving lives and minimizing the severity of injuries. He also explained how business leaders and managers should be equipped with basic first aid skills to handle emergencies at the workplace, thereby ensuring a safe and secure organizational environment. The workshop included practical demonstrations on handling situations on Cardiac arrest, Heart attack, Epilepsy, Stroke, CPR (Procedure) etc. Students actively participated in the interactive session and gained hands-on experience in applying first aid techniques. The resource person also shared real-life case experiences from his professional service, which made the workshop more impactful and engaging. The program ended at 4.30 pm.
