As a part of Outreach programme, on 20.9.2025 Ahalia School of Management on occasion of Gandhi Jayanti & World Ozone Day – cleanliness Drive & Awareness Activities were organised at Nelliyampathy Forest Reserve and nearby sightseeing spots. All faculty members and first year MBA students started their trip combined with nature’s study, community engagement through a cleanliness drive and ozone-layer awareness activities. The trip started at 8am from ASM campus. The purpose was to promote environmental stewardship, team building and experiential learning. The main objective was to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti through community service and cleanliness activities. And also to observe World Ozone Day by running awareness sessions about ozone depletion and protective actions. The students learned the ecology and plantations in Nelliyampathy Forest Reserve and its local biodiversity. With the assistance of Mr. Nithin, Forest Beat Officer, Nelliyampathy Forest Station, we conducted a cleanliness drive in identified public areas and documented the waste collected. In the cleanliness drive the litters were collected and wastes were segregated according to the guidelines given by the Beat Officer. Around 15bags of trashes were collected in the said area. This activity encouraged team bonding and leadership skills among first-year MBA students. We thank Mr. Shereef, Forest Range Officer, Nelliyampathy Forest Reserve and his team members for the hospitality provided during the trip. The trip ended at 3pm and students reached the campus by 6pm.
