Ahalia School of Management has celebrated World Telecommunication and Information Society Day on 16th May 2025 @ 11.00 am at ASM seminar hall. Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director introduced the relevance of celebrating the day in the business school. He explained the role of the Internet and other information and communication technologies (ICT) in the modern business sector. He highlighted the importance of ICT in today’s digital age. Mr. Gurudath Sadanandan, Faculty Member, Ahalia School of Media Studies and Future Technologies (ASOMSAFT) has served as the resource person for the session. The theme of the session was Digital Marketing and e-commerce . He spoke about the relevance of digital marketing and e-commerce in the post-pandemic world. His presentation concentrated on the fundamentals of digital marketing covering Social media marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Email marketing, Internet of Things (IoT) and Influencer partnerships. He mentioned that there is wide scope for management students in the area of cyber security, digital trade and digital payment adoption. It was an interactive session and clarified all the queries raised by the students. The session came to an end at 1.00.p.m.
