80th Independence Day Celebration

The 80th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm, patriotism and national spirit jointly by Ahalia School of Management (ASM) at the campus on 15 August 2025 at 8:30 a.m. The Principal, faculty members, staff and students gathered together to commemorate this historic occasion and to pay tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal and Director, ASM. Following the flag hoisting, Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai addressed the gathering.  In his inspiring speech, he highlighted the significance of Independence Day, recalled the immense sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and emphasized the responsibility of every citizen in contributing to the progress and development of the nation. He urged the students to become responsible citizens and to contribute to society through small but meaningful acts of integrity, discipline, service and social responsibility.

Thereafter, Mr. Ajith Sankar delivered a speech highlighting the significant role played by the freedom fighters in India’s struggle for independence. His address encouraged the students to appreciate the country’s journey and to recognize their role in shaping India’s future. Students’ representatives, Ms Krishna and Ms. Varshini offered felicitations to the programme.

The celebration provided an opportunity for the students and staff to reflect on the values of freedom, unity, democracy, patriotism and national responsibility. The programme also reinforced the importance of preserving the ideals for which the freedom fighters struggled and working collectively towards building a stronger and more prosperous India. The Independence Day celebration concluded with a national anthem.
