Strengthening Research and Innovation Ecosystems in HEIs: Leveraging MANTHAN and UTTHAN for Institutional Transformation

Ahalia School of Management (ASM) actively participated in the MIC-Driven Activity titled Strengthening Research and Innovation Ecosystems in HEIs: Leveraging MANTHAN and UTTHAN for Institutional Transformation, organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), AICTE in collaboration with the          Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India. The programme was conducted online on 2 September 2026 at 11:30 am.  29 MBA students and 4 faculty members of Ahalia School of Management participated in the programme.         

              The session focused on strengthening research and innovation ecosystems in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) through initiatives such as MANTHAN and UTTHAN. The programme provided valuable insights into developing institutional capabilities, promoting research and innovation, fostering strategic collaborations and partnerships and creating effective pathways for converting innovative ideas and research outcomes into impactful solutions. The session highlighted the importance of creating a strong institutional culture that encourages innovation, entrepreneurship, interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge-based problem solving.             The participating MBA students and faculty members found the session highly informative and relevant to the academic and professional environment. The programme helped students understand the importance of research, innovation and entrepreneurship in addressing emerging business and societal challenges. Faculty members also gained useful perspectives on strengthening research activities, institutional collaborations and innovation-oriented initiatives within higher education institutions.
