An internship programme was conducted at Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital, Palakkad, on 17 September 2025, with 7 students participating. The programme provided students with practical exposure to the functioning of a specialized eye-care institution.

Students were introduced to patient registration and reception, appointment scheduling, OPD procedures, patient flow management, billing and insurance, medical records, pharmacy and diagnostic services. The programme also provided insights into clinical-administrative coordination and patient-centred healthcare delivery. The internship helped students develop a practical understanding of specialized hospital administration, service quality, patient care and operational processes, strengthening the application of their academic knowledge in a professional healthcare environment.
