An internship programme was conducted at Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital, Palakkad, on 4 October 2024, with 7 students participating. The programme was designed to provide practical exposure to the operations of a specialized eye-care institution.

Students gained an understanding of patient registration, appointment management, OPD functioning, patient flow, billing, medical records, pharmacy and diagnostic services. They also observed the coordination between different hospital departments and the processes involved in delivering efficient patient services. The programme enabled students to gain practical insights into hospital administration, patient care, service quality and healthcare operations, helping them relate theoretical knowledge to actual workplace practices.
