An internship programme was conducted at Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital, Palakkad, on 8 October 2024, with 8 students participating. The programme offered students practical exposure to the functioning of a specialized eye hospital.

The internship covered important areas such as patient registration and reception, appointment scheduling, OPD procedures, patient flow, billing and insurance, medical records, pharmacy operations and diagnostic services. Students also observed the role of administrative functions in supporting efficient clinical services and patient care. The programme helped students understand specialized hospital operations, patient service management, quality of care and clinical-administrative coordination, thereby enhancing their practical understanding of healthcare management.
