KMAT Coaching 2021

Ahalia School of Management conducted an online KMAT free coaching session on  10th & 11th  July 2021 through  online mode ( Google Meet platform)  to create awareness among MBA aspirants on how to prepare well and score high ranks in competitive examinations. Qualifying KMAT/CAT/CMAT is mandatory for MBA Admission in Government and Self Financing colleges in the state. Our expert faculty team offered coaching and guidance on the following areas. In the session 50 candidates attended.

1. General English & G K – The session was handled by Dr. P. Sangeetha  on 10th July 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

2. Quantitative Aptitude – The session was handled by Dr. Jagdeesh S. N. on 10th July 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

3. Logical and Verbal reasoning – The session was handled by Ms. Jisha O.  on 11th July 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

4. General Knowledge & Current Affairs – The session was handled by Dr. Aashna Sidhic   on 11th July 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

We hope that our efforts will help the KMAT aspirants secure very good score in the ensuing KMAT/CMAT/CAT examinations.

Palakkad Vision 2030

Palghat Management Association (PMA) partnered with Ahalia Group Academic Institutions in organizing a Panel Discussion on 20 March 2021 at 5 p.m. on Vision 2030 – Education Sector in Palakkad. CA B. Jayaraj, Chairman, Vision 2030, Palakkad Management Association welcomed the august gathering. The Presidential address was offered by Shri. Sivadas Chettoor, President, Palakkad Management Association. The event was inaugurated by Shri. T. P. Sreenivasan IFS, Former Ambassador & Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, Vienna, Former Vice Chairman, Kerala State Higher Education Council.

The Presenters introduced the topic and the Initiators initiated the discussion on the subject. The program was recorded and the essence will be made into a report and submitted to the authority for implementation. The discussion was moderated by Smt. Bindu Valoor, Manager – Academics Outreach, Ahalia Group Academic Institutions.
Shri. Brijesh Vappala, Secretary, Palakkad Management Association proposed the Vote of thanks. A total of 111 participants attended the online event which was hosted on Google Meet.

Panel Discussion on ‘National Education Policy – 2020’

On 30 January 2021, Ahalia Forum, an initiative of Ahalia Group Educational Institutions, in association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and Institution’s Innovation Council, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India,  organised a panel discussion on *National Education Policy: 2020. Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai, Director, Ahalia Group Academic Institutions  presided. Dr. M. Abdul Salam, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Calicut inaugurated the event. Expert Panelists: Prof. Venkatesh Raikar, Former Vice Chancellor, Director (Quality Assurance) KLE Technological University, Hubli, Karnataka, Mr. Jomy P. L.,Educational Expert, addressed and led the discussion. 165 participants attended the event via Google Meet.

Panel Discussion on ‘Covid 19: Vaccination &Thereafter’

On 26 January 2021, Ahalia Forum, an initiative of Ahalia Group Educational Institutions, in association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and Institution’s Innovation Council, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India,  organised a panel discussion on COVID 19: Vaccination & Thereafter. Dr. V. S. Gopal, Chairman, Ahalia Group Institutions offered the key note address. Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai, Director, Ahalia Group Academic Institutions presided. Dr. Amar Fettle, State Nodal Officer for Health, Government of Kerala inaugurated the event. Panelists: Dr. B. Padmakumar, Professor-in-Charge of COVID 19 ICU,  Government Medical College, Alappuzha, Dr. Prem Narayanan , Consultant & Head, Department of Endocrinology & Diabetology, Ahalia Diabetes Hospital, Palakkad, Prof. Roshan Sanu Y. COVID Survivor, Ahalia School of Engineering & Technology addressed and led the discussion. 146 participants attended the event via Google Meet.

Induction Program On Universal Human Values For 2020-22 Batch

Day 1 – 19 October 2020 (Monday)

The two-week induction program was inaugurated on 19 October 2020 by Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai, Director Ahalia Group of Academic Institutions. Prof. Sreeranjan Menon T., was the master of ceremony for the inaugural function. Dr. Dhanu P. welcomed the gathering. Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai gave the inaugural address. Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor, Assistant Director gave felicitation and addressed the students. Dr. Sangeetha P. proposed vote of thanks. The inaugural function was followed by an introductory session to the college and course by Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai. The second session was handled by Prof. Sreeranjan Menon on the topic ‘Know Yourself’. The third session was handled by Dr. Sangeetha P. on ‘Inspiring Human Values’. The feedback was collected from all the participants and the attendance was taken.

Day 2 – 20 October 2020 (Tuesday)

The first session was handled by Mr. K. Madhavan Unni, Advisor IIT Palakkad. The topic was ‘Values in Management’. The coordinator of the induction program Prof. Sreeranjan Menon T. extended welcome and introduced the speaker. Mr. Unni emphasized on the importance of imbibing confidence, empathy, ethics, morals and values in management. He also shared his professional experiences and advised students to become a wholesome manager and to be unique and stand out from the rest of the peers. The coordinator of the induction program, Dr. Dhanu P., proposed vote of thanks to the speaker. The second session was handled by Dr. Vaidyanath N. on the topic ‘Ethics in Workplace’. Dr. Vaidyanath presented few case studies and emphatically stressed on the importance of ethics. He also advised the students to inculcate good values and morals in life. The third session was an activity session for the students ‘Icebreaking’ and was facilitated by Prof. Sreeranjan Menon.  Students introduced themselves and shared their strengths, hobbies, aspirations and ambitions with their batchmates. This session was  a platform to interact and know more about each other. Students participated actively and had a quick interaction with their new friends. Feedback after every session was collected from all the participants and the attendance was taken.

Day 3 – 21 October 2020 (Wednesday)

The first session was handled by Dr. Surekha Pai. Professor & Dy. Superintendent AAMCH. The topic was ‘Quality – A Way of Life’. Dr. Dhanu P. extended welcome and introduced the speaker. Dr. Surekha Pai explained the importance of quality and quality management system in organizations with real time examples. The session was followed by Q& A session and the students participated actively by asking relevant and pertinent questions. Prof. Sreeranjan Menon extended the vote of thanks. The second session was handled by Dr. Dhanu P. and it was an activity session titled ‘Show Your Talents’. Students showcased their talents by singing, reciting poems, sharing Tik Tok Videos, by displaying craftworks, bottle arts and by showcasing their cakemaking skills. The third session was handled by Dr. Gunasekharan, HOD CSE, ASET on the topic ‘Digital World’. The first part of his session stressed on the importance of Universal Human Values and the second part was on technology and it’s impact in human lives. Feedback after every session was collected from all the participants and the attendance was taken.

Day 4 – 22 October 2020 (Thursday)

The first session was handled by Dr. Dhanu P., Assistant Professor, ASM. The topic was ‘Investment Management’. Prof. Sreeranjan Menon T. extended welcome and introduced the speaker. Dr. Dhanu covered topics like investment, it’s history, stock markets and derivatives. The session was followed by Q& A session and the students participated actively. The second session was handled by Ms. Anku K. Thambi, Assistant Professor ASM. The topic was ‘From Classroom to Job, What Changes It Make?’. She stressed the need for a change in mindset when stepping into a corporate scenario. The session was followed by small brainstorming activities led by the speaker. The third session was handled by Dr. Sangeetha P., Assistant Professor, ASM. It was the third activity session on ‘ SWOT Analysis’. The speaker covered the topic of SWOT and urged the students to do a SWOT analysis on them. She also listed the common SWOT examples and explained the importance of the analysis on professional and personal life. Feedback after every session was collected from all the participants and the attendance was taken.

Day 523 October 2020 (Friday)

The first Session was handled by Ms. Sanitha N. on the topic ‘Library Do’s and Don’ts’. Ms. Sanitha explained in detail regarding the do’s and don’ts in ASM library. The process of lending and returning books. She also explained about the various online resources and MOOC portals which will enable students to develop their skills and knowledge. The second session was taken by Mr. Visish P. Deep, alumnus ASM, on the memories of his college life. He reminisced about experiences and events  in ASM. Mr. Visish also gave tips to students to help them smoothly go through their college life. The third session was facilitated by Dr. Murugananth G., Professor ASET. The topic was ‘Survival on Earth’. He stressed on the importance of saving resources and utilising it in an optimum manner. He also spoke about the beauty of this planet and the need to conserve and protect the environment. The session was followed by an active Q&A session. The fourth session was an activity session Extempore handled by Dr. Dhanu. Topics were given to the students on spot and after 30 seconds they had speak for 2 minutes on the topic. The students actively participated and the session continued almost till 2:00 p.m. Feedback after every session was collected from all the participants and the attendance was taken.

Day 6 – 27 October 2020 (Tuesday)

The first session was handled by Prof. Jisha O. on the topic ‘Team Management’. The speaker explained about the importance of team and managing a team. Prof. Jisha also delved into the stages of team formation. The session was followed by a Q&A session and the students put forth their points of view and the coordinators Dr. Dhanu and Prof. Sreeranjan Menon also pitched in with their inputs. The second session was taken by Ms. Bindu Valoor, Assistant Manager, Academics Marketing. The topic was ‘Ethics a Sine qua non for professional career’. The speaker explained about ethics and various scenarios of corporate life. Ms. Bindu also stressed the importance of introspection and dealing with various situations that students might face in organizations in an ethical manner. The third session was facilitated by Mr. Sumesh Menon CEO & MD Winds Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The topic was Universal Human Values. The speaker mentioned the importance of values and it’s impact on an organisation. He also touched upon technology and it’s growing dependence and impact on our lives. The session was followed by Q&A session. Feedback after every session was collected from all the participants and the attendance was taken.

Day 7 – 28 October 2020 (Wednesday)

The first session was handled by Mr. Rakesh P Prabhakar on campus rules and regulations and keeping the decorum in campus. The speaker explained about the importance of following rules and regulations. Administrative matters and procedures were briefly discussed during the session. The session was followed by a Q&A session and the students put forth their points of view and the coordinators Dr. Dhanu P and Prof. Sreeranjan Menon also pitched in with their inputs. The second session was facilitated by Dr. Sam Das Zachariah on the topic ‘Human Dimensions in Business’. The speaker explained about values, ethics and the humane side of business activities. Dr. Sam also gave various examples from Hospital sector during the session. The third session was from Mr. S. Rathish, Former Engineer KSWA, as a part of National online seminar on professional ethics and HR values. The topic was professional ethics my career experiences. The speaker elaborated on ethics, values and morals, various theories and experiences from his career spanning long years of expertise and challenges. The fourth session was handled by Mr. Sadashib Padhee, CHRO, VP HR & IT Kirloskar Pneumatic Co. Ltd. The topic was the new normal in talent development, high tech and high touch. The speaker made a great presentation on the new trends and various aspects in talent development and HR values. The session was followed by an active Q& A session. Mr. Jithin P. proposed vote of thanks for the National online seminar participants.

Day 8 – 30 October 2020 (Friday)

The first Session was handled by Mr. Anil K. C., C.A and Auditor, Ahalia Group. The topic was ‘Financial Ethics’. The speaker explained about the importance of following rules, regulations and ethics in financial domain. He explained with examples the need for ethical practices and standards in finance. The session was followed by an active Q&A session. Two feedback sessions were scheduled and all students expressed their experiences and learning during the induction program with faculty and management. They spoke about positive changes that they witnessed in them after the induction program. Various suggestions and experiences were shared by students about this program and they appreciated the way in which the program was organized and coordinated on time and right as per the schedule. The closing ceremony for the induction program was held and Prof. Jisha O. was the master of ceremony for the function. Ms. Bindu Valoor extended welcome, Dr. Dhanu P. gave a review about the program. Prof. Sreeranjan Menon T presented the report on induction program and Dr. Sangeetha P. proposed Vote of thanks. Ms. Reshmi S. sung the National Anthem and thereby concluding the closing ceremony. 

The two week induction program on Universal Human Values concluded on a very positive note and has brought forth lot of excitement and enthusiasm to students who will be continuing their two year’s journey with Ahalia School Of Management. A journey of thousand miles begin with a single step, and the induction program on Universal Human Values was their first step towards success.
