The ASM deputed the Faculties Ms. Neetu PM (coordinator, IIC, ASM ) & Dr. K. Manivannan to attend the IIC Regional convention meeting held on 16th January 2024. The event was hosted by CUSAT Cochin and AICTE jointly. Shri. P. Rajeev Minister of Law, Industries and Coir government of Kerala has inaugurated the function. In his speech the honourable Minister narrated the various schemes provided by the government of Kerala to enhance innovation and start-up in the State. To enhance the effect of innovation by educational institutions, the government of Kerala is willing to approve the Institutional Industrial park with a seed funding of 2.5 crores by the government for infrastructure facilities, the minister added. They have decided to establish a separate board for approval process for the educational institutions. After the inauguration, events of innovation like exhibition, poster competition, and best IIC activities by organisations were conducted. In the afternoon session, different talks on Innovation, IPR and mentor- mentee process through which faculties can motivate innovation among students were arranged. The event came to an end at 4.30pm.
