The Independence Day celebrations at Ahalia School of Management commenced at 8:30 am. The event was marked by a formal flag hoisting ceremony, insightful addresses, and engaging competitions. The celebrations began with the hoisting of the national flag. The flag was proudly unfurled by Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai (Principal & Director of ASM). The ceremony was followed by the National Anthem, sung with deep respect and reverence by all present. The formal session of the Independence Day celebration featured a series of felicitations, messages and wishes. Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai delivered an insightful address, highlighting the significance of Independence Day. His speech emphasized the contributions and sacrifices of freedom fighters in securing our independence. He also discussed India’s remarkable progress over the years, focusing on the growth in GDP and its reflection of the country’s development and prosperity. Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai stressed the importance of honoring our freedom fighters while striving towards a brighter future. Dr. S.N. Jagdeesh delivered a felicitation address focusing on Vision 2047, which envisions a developed and prosperous India by the centenary of independence. He highlighted the Vikasith Bharat mission, aimed at achieving comprehensive and inclusive development. Dr. Jagdeesh encouraged students to actively engage in efforts supporting national development and innovation. Ms. Manju M., Assistant Professor, delivered an inspiring Independence Day message. She stressed the critical role of students in the nation-building process and highlighted how individual contributions can collectively lead to significant change. Student Representative Ms.Manasa (I semester MBA) gave a heartfelt Independence Day message. She expressed gratitude for the freedom enjoyed by all and conveyed her wishes for a prosperous future. The formal function concluded with the distribution of sweets, symbolizing the joy and unity of the occasion. After the formal session, various competitions for students were conducted. A quiz competition was organized for testing knowledge about India’s history and independence. The team-5 bagged the first prize in the quiz competition (Nufail sulimanA, Nanadana K, Fathimath Hima Parveen , Manika M V.) A poster-making competition was conducted with the theme Vision 2047.
