Anti-Drug Day 2022

Ahalia School of Management actively participated in the Anti-narcotics Awareness Programme organised by the Ahalia Group of Institutions in the campus on 1.11.2022. All the junior MBA students of ASM and faculty members attended the procession from Ahalia School of Pharmacy to Ahalia Women and Children’s Hospital (AWACH) with banners, placards, flags, chen-damelam, slogans etc. The team reached at AWACH at 2.30 pm. As part of this programme, an anti-narcotic oath was taken by all the participants at 2.45 pm. Thereafter, a talk on effects of narcotics on human body was delivered by Dr. Prem Narayan of ADH followed by two dance programmes by public school students. Mr. Roshan Sanu, convenor of YAAD proposed the vote of thanks to all the participants. The programme came to an end at 3.40 pm.

Celebrating 2022 World Mental Health Day

All the MBA students and the faculty members were participated in the World Mental Health Day celebration 2022 organized by the Ahalia Department of Counselling. The programme was on 10th October 2022 and the venue was Ahalia Women and Children’s Hospital auditorium. In the programme Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishore , Executive Director , Ahalia Group of Institutions stated the importance of mental health in the current scenario. The programme to an end at 11. 00am.

World Tourism Day 2022

The World Tourism Day was celebrated on 27/09/2022. The programme commenced with a prayer at 10.30 am. Ms. Sreelekshmi welcomed the president of the session, resource person, faculty members and students. The Principal and Director, Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai introduced the concept of health tourism and stressed the need and importance of wellness tourism in India and inaugurated the session. Thereafter, the resource person, Dr. K. Manivannan, Associate Professor, ASM delivered a talk on the topic Health and Wellness Tourism. During the presentation, he narrated the historical background of tourism industry in the world, India and Kerala and discussed the different aspects of health and wellness tourism. Ms. Anjana and Ms. Rekha presented the feedback of the session. Ms. Devika Uday proposed the vote of thanks to all the participants. The session was over by 12.10 pm.

Patient Safety Day Celebrations 2022

ASM celebrated the World Patient Safety Day on 19.09.2022. The programme commenced at 10.30 am with a prayer. Ms. Sreelakshmi welcomed the President of the session, resource rerson  and other participants. Dr. B. Vijaychandran Pillai (Principal & Director of ASM) inaugurated the session. Thereafter, the resource rerson Dr. Aashna Sidhic delivered a talk on the topic “Patient Safety”. Dr. K. Manivannan stressed the need of understanding the concept of patient psychology during the session. Ms. Seethalakshmi and Mr. Naseef presented the feedback of the session. Finally Ms. Sreelakshmi proposed the Vote of thanks and the session came to an end at 11.30 am.

2022 Teacher’s Day Celebrations

ASM and ASCM jointly celebrated Teacher’s Day on 14/09/2022. The formal function started at 10.30 am with a prayer by Ms. Riswana Mariyam, second sem. MBA student. Ms. Anusree, Second Sem MBA student welcomed all the teachers and students to the function. Dr. B. Vijaychandran Pillai (Principal & Director, ASM) delivered a special talk on Role of a Professional Teacher in Society. Thereafter the students introduced all the teachers, appraised their services and honoured the teachers with greeting cards. Ms. Nivetha, second year BBA student proposed the vote of thanks to all the participants. Ms. Roshini Warrier and Ms. Sreelekshmi coordinated the entire programme. The function came to an end at 12.00 noon.

Onam Celebration 2022

ASM & ASCM jointly organised the Onam celebration on 01.09.2022. The celebration commenced with Pookkalam. The formal inauguration of Onam celebration 2022 was done by Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director ASM. Mr. Rajithan E P B, Vice President, Academics offered a keynote address during the programme. Dr. S N Jagadeesh & Dr. K Manivannan offered felicitation to the programme. The inauguration programme ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. Seethalakshmi at 11.15 am. Thereafter, different competitions like uriyadi, vadamvali, spoon & lemon, thriruvathirakali etc. were arranged by the staff and students. In addition to these, Onam sadya was arranged for the staff & students of ASM & ASCM.

2022 Women’s Equality Day

A talk on Gender Egalitarianism started at 2.30 pm on 26 August 2022 at ASM seminar hall with a welcome speech by Sarath Sankar, first year MBA and followed by the presidential address by Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai. There after Sona Saji, first year MBA, introduced about the chief guest Adv. T. Reena Jaijith, practicing lawyer in district court at Palakkad for 24 years and also appointed as the Mediator advocate by Kerala State Mediation Conciliation Centre, High Court of Kerala. She mentioned about the inequality in the society, dowry system, domination by men, issues faced by married women with real case examples she dealt with the court. Finally she concluded that everyone should follow gender equality because everyone is treated as equal in front of law. Thereafter Principal and Director Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai honoured the chief guest with a memento. Sreelakshmi of first year MBA gave feedback about the session. The session came to an end with a vote of thanks by Sabin Kumar first year MBA.

An Interactive Session on Banking Innovations

On 25 August 2022, the ASM arranged an invited talk on ‘Banking Innovations’. Dr. Anil A V, International Banking Regulator served as the resource person. Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal and Director, ASM introduced the resource person to the participants and welcomed the gathering.  Dr. Anil gave a brief account of innovations in banking sector in the current global scenario in a very creative style. The session was in an interactive style and students raised their queries which were clarified by the resource person. It lasted for one and half hours. Ms. Shara, II sem. MBA student proposed the vote of thanks to all the participants.

Graduation Ceremony 2022

                The programme started at 10.00 am on 21 August 2022 with the procession of passed out MBA students (2019-2021 batch) led by the chief guest Dr. A. Rajagopal Kamath (Asst. Divisional Manager LIC of India; Ernakulam), Prof. Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai (Principal and Director, Ahalia School of Management) and Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor (Executive Director, Ahalia  Group of Institutions). Followed by prayer by Ms. Risvana Mariyam K N, junior MBA student.  Thereafter, Ms. Ann Mary Francis, Assistant Professor welcomed the president, the chief guest and all others present in the function. The presidential address was delivered by Prof. Dr. B Vijayachandran Pillai. He stressed the need for conducting the graduation ceremony day and some offered tips to the students for their career improvement. Thereafter Dr. Krishna Kumar Kishor delivered the keynote address. Next Ms. Neetu P M, Assistant Professor introduced the chief guest Dr. A. Rajagopal Kamath to the participants followed by inaugural address by the chief guest. In his speech the chief guest has given a clear account of the steps to be followed by the employees for winning success. Thereafter the distribution of oath roll and oath taking ceremony was performed. The graduation day memento was distributed by the chief guest to all the passing out students.  Ms.Manju M, Assistant Professor proposed vote of thanks to all the participants followed by an official photo session. The programme ended with national anthem by 1.00 pm.
