Kerala Governor Visits ASM

On 11th August 2021, His Excellency Governor of Kerala, Mr. Arif Muhammad Khan visited ASM. The Principal and staff members welcomed him to the institution. He emphasized the need for the eradication of dowry system in our country as part of the recent decision taken by the Govt. of Kerala. He stressed the need for a written agreement of non- receipt/ payment of dowry at the time of marriage. He also pointed out that it is necessary to give proper awareness and training among all students. He spent nearly 10 minutes in our institution.

KMAT Coaching 2021

Ahalia School of Management conducted an online KMAT free coaching session on  10th & 11th  July 2021 through  online mode ( Google Meet platform)  to create awareness among MBA aspirants on how to prepare well and score high ranks in competitive examinations. Qualifying KMAT/CAT/CMAT is mandatory for MBA Admission in Government and Self Financing colleges in the state. Our expert faculty team offered coaching and guidance on the following areas. In the session 50 candidates attended.

1. General English & G K – The session was handled by Dr. P. Sangeetha  on 10th July 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

2. Quantitative Aptitude – The session was handled by Dr. Jagdeesh S. N. on 10th July 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

3. Logical and Verbal reasoning – The session was handled by Ms. Jisha O.  on 11th July 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

4. General Knowledge & Current Affairs – The session was handled by Dr. Aashna Sidhic   on 11th July 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

We hope that our efforts will help the KMAT aspirants secure very good score in the ensuing KMAT/CMAT/CAT examinations.

One day Digital Workshop on “Art of Writing & Publishing Research Papers in Scholarly Journals in Social Sciences”

A one-day digital workshop on “Art of Writing & Publishing Research Papers in Scholarly Journals in Social Science” was conducted on 23rd June 2021 from 2pm- 4pm through Google Meet. The workshop commenced with a prayer. This was followed by the welcome address of Dr. Sangeetha P. (Asst. Prof., ASM). Thereafter, she introduced the resource person to the participants with a brief introduction about his academic and research contributions and invited the resource person Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director, ASM for delivering the talk on the area. The resource person narrated the importance of writing and publishing the research papers, selection process of a good scholarly journal as per UGC regulations, the format and requirements of a good research paper and the ethics to be followed by the writers while publishing the paper. The session was followed by an interaction with the participants. A feedback was also arranged to get the response of the participants about the presentation. A total of 60 participants attended the session. Ms. Jisha O. (Asst. Prof., ASM) proposed the vote of thanks to all the participants and the resource person. The meeting concluded with a National Anthem.

Webinar on ‘Carrier Prospects for MBAs’

Ahalia School of Management in association with Nasra College of Arts and Science, Thiroorkkad, Malappuram, organised a one-day webinar on “Career Prospects for MBAs” on 8th June 2021 at 11 a.m. through Google Meet. The webinar was formally inaugurated by Dr. Zubair P. (Principal, Nasra College of Arts and Science) at 11 a.m. and explained the need for organising seminars on career prospects for the benefit of students. Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai (Principal & Director, ASM) served as the resource person in the webinar. He explained the uniqueness of MBA programme, modus operandi of admission procedure to MBA programme, options for MBA programme and career prospects for each stream. He also narrated some tips for personality development of management students. The Career Guidance Cell Coordinator Smt. Vishnu Priya offered felicitations. The final year BBA /B. Com/BA literature students of the college were the participants of the seminar. 102 participants from the college attended. Finally, the HOD of Commerce, Smt. Sreerekha proposed the vote of thanks. The pogramme came to an end at 1 p.m.
