
The ASM has organized an Internship Programme for IIIrd Sem MBA (General) students from 16.02.2022 to 02.03.2022. The students were divided into four groups and undergone their internship programme at AWACH, ADH, AAMCH, AEFH.

Ten students of MBA (General) 2021-23 batch participated as volunteers for the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) Exhibition 2021 conducted by BEML, Palakkad. The students served as volunteers for seven days from 13.12.21 to 19.12.21. The students understood the organizational structure and operations of BEML. The students were assisted by Dr. S. N. Jagadeesh (Associate Prof., ASM).
The first semester MBA students of HCM (2021-23 batch) visited the defence establishment, BEML, Palakkad on 14th December 2021 from 10.00 a.m. onwards. The students saw the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav (AKAM) exhibition 2021 organised by the BEML. A detailed explanation of the exhibition, consisting of various manufacturing components and parts, was given by the organisers. Live demonstrations about various parts of the vehicle were explained. The students were accompanied by the faculty members Dr. S. N. Jagadeesh (Associate Professor), Ms. T. Revathy (Asst. Professor) and Mr. P. S. Sivan Unni (Asst. Professor). The students reached the campus by 1.00 p.m.
An industrial visit for the third semester MBA students of both General & Healthcare Management was organised on 26th November 2021 to Sark Cables Pvt. Ltd, Kanjikode, Palakkad. The students were explained about the manufacturing process and the organizational structure of electrical cable manufacturing industry at the organization. The students were accompanied by the faculty member Dr. S N Jagadeesh, Associate Professor of ASM. The industrial visit commenced by 10.am and ended by 1.pm.
The formal inauguration function of first semester MBA 2021-23 batch was organized at Ahalia Diabetics Hospital auditorium at 10.30 a.m. on 1.11.2021. The chief guest of the ceremony was Mr. G. Krishna Kumar (M.D., Rufbila International Ltd. and Premier Tissues India Ltd., Palakkad). In his inaugural address he stressed the need for acquiring soft skills by the students to perform the duties of the manager in future. He also specified the reasons for successful running a business unit. His presentation was very motivating to the budding managers for taking up new ventures in their future career. Dr. S. N. Jagadeesh welcomed the chief guest and others who participated in the inaugural function. The presidential address was was delivered by Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director, ASM. Mrs. Jisha O. & Mr. Rakesh P. Prabhakar offered felicitation to the programme. Dr. P. Sangeetha proposed vote of thanks to all those who participated in this ceremony. The entire programme came to an end with National Anthem by 12.45 p.m.
On 11th August 2021, His Excellency Governor of Kerala, Mr. Arif Muhammad Khan visited ASM. The Principal and staff members welcomed him to the institution. He emphasized the need for the eradication of dowry system in our country as part of the recent decision taken by the Govt. of Kerala. He stressed the need for a written agreement of non- receipt/ payment of dowry at the time of marriage. He also pointed out that it is necessary to give proper awareness and training among all students. He spent nearly 10 minutes in our institution.
Ahalia School of Management organized an One day National Webinar on the topic “Service Marketing Innovations” on 24th March 2021 at 2 p.m. through online platform – Google Meet. Webinar mainly focused on the area of Customer handling and innovations in service marketing. More than 90 participants across the country were attended the webinar. Dr. Sangeetha P, faculty member welcomed the gathering. Prof. (Dr) B. Vijachandran Pillai, Principal & Director, ASM delivered the presidential address and inaugurated the webinar. During his inaugural address, he stressed the need for promoting the service industries in our country. Faculties of ASM, Ms. Jisha and Ms. Akhila babu delivered the felicitations. The session was handled by an eminent Resource person Dr. Rajagopal Kamath A, Practicing marketing professional, Kerala. He has narrated the role of service sector industries in Indian Economy and the latest innovations in the field of service marketing with particular reference to life insurance products and services. The session was very informative and presentation style was highly appreciable. Participants were actively engaged in the question & answer session. Dr. Aashna Sidhic proposed the Vote of thanks. The session was concluded with the National Anthem by 3.30 pm. Feedback from the participants showed that the webinar was highly rated and commended.
One day International Webinar was organised on the topic of Digital Marketing – Emerging Trends on 23.02.2021 at 2 p.m. through Google Meet. Mr. Vibin Chandar was the resource person, an eminent speaker, training head International Azure IT solutions, Ghana, West Africa. More than 100 participants joined the session from across the Country and abroad including students from various universities and industrialists. The welcome address was given by Dr. Sangeetha P, Faculty, followed by the Inaugural address by the president of the event, Prof. (Dr) B. Vijayachandran Pillai, Principal & Director ASM. ASM Faculties Ms. Jisha O. and Dr. Aashna Sidhic offered the felicitations. The session was very informative and interactive from the side of the participants. Feedback was given in a positive note from the participants. Ms. Akhila Babu, Faculty, ASM proposed the vote of thanks to the Resource Person and the participants. The webinar came to an end by 3.45 p.m. with the National Anthem.
The Ahalia School of Management organized a National Level Webinar on 19.02.2021 at 2 p.m. through Google Meet. The topic of the seminar was “Union Budget 2021-22: An Evaluation”. C A Mr.Ajith Sivadas, Practicing Chartered Accountant was the resource person. The webinar started with prayer followed by a welcome address by Manju Maya N. (1st Sem MBA). The webinar was inaugurated by the Principal & Director ASM, Prof.(Dr.) B. Vijayachandran Pillai. Thereafter, the resource person delivered a talk on latest amendments in the Union Budget 2021-22. The session was followed by an interaction from the participants in a very effective manner. A total of 90 participants were attended the webinar. Finally Ms. Divya Mary Thomas (1st Sem MBA) proposed the vote of thanks to resource person and other participants. The webinar came to an end by 3.45 p.m. with the National Anthem.
On 30 January 2021, Ahalia Forum, an initiative of Ahalia Group Educational Institutions, in association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and Institution’s Innovation Council, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, organised a panel discussion on *National Education Policy: 2020. Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai, Director, Ahalia Group Academic Institutions presided. Dr. M. Abdul Salam, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Calicut inaugurated the event. Expert Panelists: Prof. Venkatesh Raikar, Former Vice Chancellor, Director (Quality Assurance) KLE Technological University, Hubli, Karnataka, Mr. Jomy P. L.,Educational Expert, addressed and led the discussion. 165 participants attended the event via Google Meet.
