On 26 January 2021, Ahalia Forum, an initiative of Ahalia Group Educational Institutions, in association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and Institution’s Innovation Council, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, organised a panel discussion on COVID 19: Vaccination & Thereafter. Dr. V. S. Gopal, Chairman, Ahalia Group Institutions offered the key note address. Dr. P. R. Sreemahadevan Pillai, Director, Ahalia Group Academic Institutions presided. Dr. Amar Fettle, State Nodal Officer for Health, Government of Kerala inaugurated the event. Panelists: Dr. B. Padmakumar, Professor-in-Charge of COVID 19 ICU, Government Medical College, Alappuzha, Dr. Prem Narayanan , Consultant & Head, Department of Endocrinology & Diabetology, Ahalia Diabetes Hospital, Palakkad, Prof. Roshan Sanu Y. COVID Survivor, Ahalia School of Engineering & Technology addressed and led the discussion. 146 participants attended the event via Google Meet.
MBA is a unique program which emphasis on both technical knowledge and personality development. In an inspiring talk Dr. B. Vijayachandran Pillai (Principal and Director, ASM) shed light on various career opportunities for different MBA specializations – Marketing, HR, Finance, IT and Tourism. MBA-HCM is an exclusive program tailor made for catering the needs of health care industry, which is the largest sector in India. Later on in his talk Director emphasized on the importance soft skill and personality development to excel in career. All the students of ASM (MBA and MBA-HCM) participated in the event. Faculty members and staff of ASM also attended the talk. The event was held on 11-12-2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m.
To create awareness among youth about the endless opportunities Rural Entrepreneurship offers, an online seminar was organised by the Ahalia Group Academic Institutions in association with Rural Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, under Ministry of Education , Government of India and NSS unit, Ahalia School of Engineering & Technology (ASET) on 27 November, 2020. The event coordinators were Prof. Preeja, Prof. Vijitha Khan, ASET and Mrs. Bindu Valoor, Manager-Academics Outreach. 240 participants attended the event via Google Meet. The resource person, Mr. Manas Madhu, briefed about the reason why he chose to be a rural entrepreneur. He also spoke about various challenges he had to face and how he overcame them. He encouraged youth to enter into this area as huge opportunities are awaiting them.
Ahalia Group Academic Institutions organised a National Online Seminar on Professional Ethics & HR Values on 28 October to create awareness among the students. Mr. S. Rathish, Former Chief Engineer, Kerala Water Authority & Dr. Sadashib Padhee, CHRO & Vice President HR and IT, Kirloskar Pneumatics Co. Ltd, Pune shared their career experiences and motivated the students to follow the righteous path .
Ahalia School of Management organised a webinar on the topic “Industry 4.0”. The resource person was Mr. Siju Rajan, 2014-2016 Batch MBA Alumnus, YouTuber, Business Coach, Founder of Advaidh Institute, Co-Founder of Aana Machine Mart.
The students of the 2018-20 batch of ASM visited Thailand as part of the International IV from 6 to 11 March 2020. The team visited Sriracha Tiger Zoo, Art in Paradise Pattaya Trick-Eye 3D museum, Coral Islands Lockley (known as Koa Larn), Four Regions Pattaya floating market, Sanctuary of Truth, Bangkok temple, Siam Amazing Park and Safari World. The trip was both educating and entertaining. The students were accompanied by Mr. Sreeranjan Menon (Asst. Professor).
